Fence Staining and Restoration

Scheduled cleaning and sealing will protect your woods natural beauty and original form. Our stain is a paraffinic oil-based stain/sealant. The unique combination of chemicals in this specially formulated penetrating oil contains powerful ultra violet light absorbers, mildewcides, fungicides, water repellents and color retention properties. Our sealant has a life expectancy of 3-4 years. If your fence shows sign of grey, we start by cleaning it with a hypochloric wash to kill fungus and mildew before we apply the stain/sealant.

Vital Maintenance Ritual Tips

Maintain your fence in optimal form by including your fence in your outdoor maintenance schedule. Here are a few tips:

• Water daily around the post to prevent cracks on the ground next to the post. Extreme heat will cause the ground to dry and crack creating space between the ground and the cement around the post. This space allows the post to lean due to the gravitational pull and wind forces.

• Set your sprinkler system so that water does not reach your fence. Continuous water drops on your wood fence will produce water stains. Water stains act like a scar on the wood and is impossible to remove them.

• Manage all trees, shrubs, and climbers that live next or near the fence. Unmanaged vines cause damage to your fence by interweaving through the spaces between pickets adding pulling force to the entire structure of the fence. Shrubs and trees create force against the fence when the space to grow between the fence and the growing plant is exhausted.
